Hey there! I'm Sam, aka Peachy Buckeye. I create unique epoxy resin accessories that focus on the unnoticed details of everyday life and everyday wanderlust. Each piece is inspired by a story, a travel, or just plain old living in the world around me - some details more abstract than others.
Peachy Buckeye was created in 2015, but the creative juices run through my veins. Originally from Northern Ohio, my Grandmother was my biggest inspiration. Every year we would experiment with different art projects and sell at local craft fairs. Art was a very important part of my life and I've had experience in several different forms of art, but nothing quite stuck. After moving to Georgia I met a ton of other dreamers and creatives, all trying to figure out this thing called life. While having a conversation with an artist friend, they expressed that they had a ton of prints laying around and didn't know what to do with them all, I said "let me take a crack at it and see what I can do" and out of that Peachy Buckeye came to be!
Currently, Peachy Buckeye has several collections: The Natural Collection, Abstract Life Collection, Wanderlust Collection, and the Artist Features Collection. Each feature is hand cut and placed inside a pewter casting plated with precious metals such as 24k gold, .999 silver, and copper. I then seal in a 2-part epoxy resin for long lasting and durable wear. I love working with individuals to create custom pieces that hold a memory for them or create the perfect gift and hear the story behind it. My perspective is, we all have a story that is uniquely ours and sometimes it just takes something small to create a way to share it with those around us. You never know what you might find when you stop and take a second to take in the world around you, every little detail.
